Who we are
My name is Kevin Hyder, and I own and run Precision Exteriors. When you
hire us, I’m the one who shows up. I’m on-site for every job from the
first look to the final walk-through. Our team has over 20 years of
combined experience in roofing, siding, and gutter work across
Connecticut, and I’ve built this company around one idea: do the work
right, treat people honestly, and let the results speak for themselves.
A Contractor Who Actually Shows Up
If you’ve ever had a contractor give you a quote and then hand your
project off to a crew you’ve never met, you know how frustrating that
is. That’s not how we work. I started Precision Exteriors because I
wanted to run a company where the owner is the one standing on your
roof, checking the work, and making sure things are done the way they
should be. When you call us, you talk to me. When work starts, I’m
there.
We’re based right here in Rocky Hill, CT. That means we’re local, we’re
accountable, and we’re not going anywhere. Most of our business comes from
referrals and repeat customers — not ad campaigns or high-pressure sales
tactics. People call us because their neighbor told them we did a good
job, and that’s the way we like it. We’d rather earn your trust than
sell you on something you don’t need.
We’re a small company, and that’s by choice. I’d rather take on fewer
projects and do each one well than stretch ourselves thin trying to be
everywhere at once. Every home we work on gets my full attention, and
I don’t move on until the homeowner is happy with what we’ve done.
Precision Exteriors is fully licensed in the State of Connecticut
(HIC #0670437) and carries full liability and workers’ compensation
insurance. We’re glad to provide proof before any work begins — and
frankly, you should always ask for it.
Our Services
We focus on the exterior of your home — that’s where our experience is,
and we stick to what we know. Our core work includes
roof replacements and repairs, siding installation, and seamless gutter
systems. We also install replacement windows and doors as part of full exterior projects or on their own.
If your home has been hit by a storm, we handle insurance claims from start to finish — the inspection, the documentation, and working directly with your adjuster so you don’t have to figure it all
out yourself.
We use Owens Corning roofing products on the majority of our jobs. They hold up well to Connecticut weather, they come with solid warranty options, and we’ve seen how they perform over time. We’ll walk you through material choices during your estimate and help you pick what makes sense for your home and your budget.
Serving Connecticut from Rocky Hill
We work throughout Central Connecticut and down the shoreline — from the
Hartford area to the Long Island Sound. Our home base is Rocky Hill, and
most of our jobs are within about 45 minutes of here. We know the housing
stock, we know the weather patterns, and we know what holds up in this
part of the state.
